We have all heard about cloud before.
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (or OCI) is the second generation cloud platform from Oracle.
Does the cloud pose a threat to DBAs? What network configuration do I need to configure and what is a virtual cloud network? Do I setup a guest? An instance? All these questions will be answered by Freek D’Hooge, one of our most senior consultants.
Freek will navigate you through the Oracle Cloud. Have a look at the program.
Have a closer look at what will be on the menu:
DBAs in the mist
Clouds can be confusing and maybe even a bit scary for Oracle DBAs and the Oracle Cloud is no exception to that.
During this presentation we will guide you through your first steps in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), explaining key concepts as “Virtual Cloud Network”, “Security Lists”, “Routing Tables”, … as we go.
After this we will give a live demo, during which we will set up a guest and a database system and show you how to connect to these instances.
